Computer Technician

 

The computer technician's role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required.

PARK CITY, UT (Jan. 5, 2017) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, long regarded as one of the most innovative of Olympic sports organizations, will be engaging in a search for a new chief marketing officer. According to USSA President and CEO Tiger Shaw, Chief Marketing Officer Michael Jaquet will be leaving the Park City-based organization this spring.

Jaquet came to the USSA in 2012 after a career with College Sports Television and CBS Sports, where he rose to become senior vice president for cable sports sales at CBS. He grew up as a cross country ski racer and became one of the early pioneers in developing the sport of freeskiing.

SACREMENTO, CA (Dec. 20, 2016) – Today, The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA), in conjuction with Crown Sports United, announced an extended partnership with Blue Diamond Almonds, the world’s leading almond brand. Crown Sports United will serve as an agent for USSA’s major events, including the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix, the Putnam Investments Freestyle Challenge and U.S. Alpine Championships. It currently serves as the global sales representative tasked with marketing property and intellectual rights within the USSA portfolio.

 


 

The Borgen-Swartz Endowment Grant provides support in the form of tuition reimbursement for US Ski and Snowboard athletes taking college courses.The Borgen-Swartz grant is intended to help athletes offset the cost of pursuing a college degree while they are training and competing for the US Ski and Snowboard teams.

Athletes must be either 1) current named team athletes or 2) alumni athletes within 2 years of retirement.Grants are limited to $6,000 per athlete annually.

Athlete Career & Education (ACE)

The mission of USSA's ACE department is to support the development of the whole athlete, ehancing athletic performance, increasing athletes' longevity in sport, helping athletes initiate successful careers, and cultivating long-term athlete connections to USSA. PARK CITY, UT (Dec. 7, 2016) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) has announced the addition of nine new partners to its pool of suppliers and licensees.

The USSA has partnerships with over 60 suppliers and licensees that support the U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding and U.S. Freeskiing as well as USSA’s member clubs. USSA members will also be able to take advantage of discounts and deals for these suppliers through the USSA Member Benefits portal.

PARK CITY, UT (Nov. 16, 2016) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) announced today that Liberty Mutual Insurance, the fifth-largest auto and home insurer in the U.S., has renewed its relationship as the official insurance partner of the U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding and U.S. Freeskiing through the 2019-2020 season. With the renewal, Liberty Mutual Insurance also signs on as the title sponsor of NASTAR, the world’s largest recreational alpine ski racing program.

Both the USSA and Liberty Mutual Insurance share the vision of creating lasting memories through sport. Liberty Mutual Insurance’s partnership with the USSA and NASTAR continues the insurer’s strong tradition of supporting elite U.S. Olympic athletes and grows that support to include a broader audience within the grassroots of skiing and snowboarding.

PARK CITY, UT (Nov. 7, 2016) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) announced today that World Cup Supply, INC. (WCS) will be signing on as the main sponsor for the 2017 FIS Eastern Cup series. WCS will be supplying race collateral and prize money as well as event safety educational materials at each stop of the series this season.

Tiger Shaw has been president and CEO of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association for the past three years, but he kicked off his career at Dartmouth College, where he attended school and raced on their NCAA ski team. Dartmouth Alumni Magazine put together a piece describing their famous alumnus and his achievements so far, including how Shaw brought snowboarding and freeskiing to a metro area when hosting a World Cup at Fenway Park last winter, his involvement in promoting athlete education and how he’s increasing the skiing and snowboarding base size by acquiring NASTAR.
