Welcome to the new official communications platform for USSA Sport Education! 

Hello USSA clubs and coaches and welcome to our new USSA Sport Education communications platform. Over the last few years we have been working to better serve the backbone of competitive snowsports in the United States. YOU, the coaches and the clubs, serve as USSA representatives to the athletes, parents and communities. This new blog format will act as more efficient way to distribute the news, resources, stories and information that will support what you do on a day-to-day basis all season long. Further, we will use this platform to connect you to the inside scoop of what is happening with our U.S. national teams so that direct connections can be made at every level of the sports. We ask that you further distribute this content to your athletes, parents and community as you see fit. While an e-mail will be regularly distributed, this blog will also pool all the content we send out during the entire season. We look forward to a great winter and we are here to serve you!

Club and Coach Tip: Many of the links we provide in this blog may be used as bookmarks or key resources to pass along to others. 

The Clubhouse: Each post, we will feature a resource from the USSA Club pages. Our first featured resource is the USSA Club Excellence Workshop program. Each month the Sport Education department hosts an online webinar, rotating through a variety of topics. Be sure to tune in to the  Athlete and Child Protection webinar on October 20 at 11 a.m. MST.

Coaches' Corner: This Fall the USSA welcomed Jon Casson as Coach Development Manager. Jon will be adding valuable coaching resources and information to each post in this section. He's kicking off the blog with a brief introduction about himself and his goals for his new role.  

Parent Perspective: For parent perspective it is most important to establish a good working relationship between all the points of what we call the "athlete triangle" which consists of the parents, the coaches and the club - all working together for the good of the athlete. Here are some key resources for establishing roles and responsibilities with parents, clubs and coaches.
