Squaw Valley Freestyle’s Ali Kariotis started dreaming of making the U.S. Ski Team at the age of ten. It only took her six years to get there thanks to a solid 2011 season on the NorAm tour (ranked fourth), including one victory and a fourth-place finish at the FIS Junior World Championships in Finland. Kariotis became a junior world champion in 2012 by winning the dual moguls in Valmalenco, Italy after securing six NorAm podiums and her second career victory. By the end of the season she had notched a career high second-place finish in the NorAm standings and pulled in a top-20 finish in just her third World Cup competition. The 2013 season added to Kariotis' strong resume. With five more top-five NorAm finishes, she headed to the FIS Junior World Championships confident and secured a sixth in both moguls and dual moguls. Winter 2014 was no different for Kariotis, as she started at nine World Cup events and landed eight top-20s, including a ninth at Deer Valley. She capped the season with a gold medal performance at Jr. World Championships in Valmalenco, Italy. Kariotis continued to work hard in 2015, securing seven top-20 finishes on the World Cup tour.
