ASPEN, CO (Jan. 30, 2016) – U.S. Pro Slopestyle Team member Eric Willett (Breckenridge, CO) had an excellent showing at X Games Aspen on Saturday, finishing fourth in Slopestyle. The Canadians continued their X Games domination with Mark McMorris winning gold and Sebastien Toutant earning silver while Mons Roislnad of Norway earned bronze.

Willett was the first rider to drop on Saturday and he put down a banger run that put him into first place until eventual silver medalist Toutant overtook him. It was a great showing against a highly-competitive field for Willet, who earned silver at X Games 2010. Willet was coming in hot off a second-place finish at the U.S. Grand Prix last week.

American Sage Kotsenburg (Park City, UT) placed 10th. He rode with his signature creativity, but was unable to put together a complete run. U.S Slopestyle Team member Kyle Mack (West Bloomfield, MI) placed seventh in Big Air on Friday night in his first X Games appearance.

Up next for snowboarding at the X Games is Men’s SuperPipe Saturday night, where six American athletes will face off against the best halfpipe riders in the world.
