SIERRA NEVADA, Spain (Mar. 6, 2017) – A team of 19 freeskiers will headline U.S. Freeskiing at the 2017 FIS Freestyle World Championships in Sierra Nevada, Spain, March 6-19. The U.S. skiers will compete in halfpipe, slopestyle and skicross.
The highly competitive U.S. team competing in Sierra Nevada include 2017 FIS slopestyle crystal globe winner McRae Williams (Park City, UT), X Games Aspen halfpipe gold medalist Aaron Blunck (Crested Butte, CO), 2014 Olympic halfpipe gold medalist Maddie Bowman (South Lake Tahoe, CA) and Mammoth Mountain U.S. Grand Prix slopestyle winner Maggie Voisin (Whitefish, MT). Tania Prymak (Goshen, NY), the most successful American female skicross athlete in history, will headline the skicross team.
U.S. Freeskiing will be sharing action throughout the FIS Freestyle Ski World Championships on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat (usfreeskiing).
