PARK CITY, UT (Jan. 15, 2015) – The 2014-15 U.S. Revolution Tour continues at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Pennsylvania Jan. 26-30. The next generation of Olympic freeskiers and snowboarders will compete at “The Spot”— Seven Springs’ flagship terrain park—in the only Olympic-sized halfpipe on the East Coast for a chance to win a piece of the $67,000 tour prize purse.

An industry leader in terrain park design, progression and innovation, Seven Springs is the perfect place to continue Revolution Tour competition, as current snowboarding tour leaders Jake Pates (Edwards, CO), Gabe Ferguson (Bend, OR), Maddie Mastro (Wrightwood, CA) and freeskiing tour leaders Kyle Smaine (S. Lake Tahoe, CA), Annalisa Drew (Andover, MA) and Tim Ryan (Waterville Valley, NH) will look to defend their early season leads. The U.S. snowboarders will also be competing to earn one wildcard spot in each discipline for the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix and World Snowboard Tour Pro Level event in Mammoth Mountain, CA Feb. 4-7.

SEVEN SPRINGS HIGHLIGHTS

  • Award-winning park: The Spot, Seven Springs’ terrain park, has been voted the number one East Coast terrain park by TransWorld SNOWboarding’s 2015 Resort Poll and SKI Magazine’s 2015 Reader Resort Survey.
  • Olympic-sized halfpipe: Seven Springs boasts the only Olympic-sized halfpipe in the East Coast.
  • World Snowboard Tour wildcard spot: One wildcard spot in each discipline will be awarded to the top American finisher who is not already invited to the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix in Mammoth Mountain, CA Feb 4-7.

REVOLUTION TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

  • Prize purse: The Rev Tour has doubled its prize purse for the 2014-15 season for a total purse of $67,000.
  • Sanctioning: The Rev Tour will be a World Snowboard Tour National Level event as well as an AFP Silver Level event.
  • Sport development: The U.S. Revolution Tour started in 2003 to bridge the gap from grassroots competition to the elite level, and it works. 2014 Olympic Champions Sage Kotsenburg, Maddie Bowman and Kaitlyn Farrington have all used the Rev Tour as a steppingstone to launch successful careers.
