Jerome Top 10 in Zao

ZAO, Japan (Jan. 19) – Jessica Jerome (Park City, UT) jumped into the top ten Sunday, taking the best result for the USA in tenth at a snowy FIS World Cup in Zao, Japan, the final Olympic qualifier before the historic debut of women’s ski jumping Feb. 11 in Sochi. Japanese jumping hero Sara Takanashi took the victory for the second day in a row. Officials scrapped the second round jump due to a slew of snow and wind delays. The U.S. women will return to Park City for training in preparation of the historic women’s ski jumping Olympic debut. Nominations for the first-ever U.S. Olympic team for women’s ski jumping will be announced Wednesday Jan. 22 at Utah Olympic Park.
