SAN DIEGO, CA (July 2) - The women's U.S. Alpine Ski Team spiced up their "spring" training last week in San Diego, CA with a conditioning camp that was anything but traditional. From sessions at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in nearby Chula Vista to workouts racing in the Outrigger Iron Championships, here's a quick snapshot of the week:

June 24: Four Sessions across the day at the Olympic Training Center with inspirational sports movies in between.
June 25: San Diego Lifeguard workout at Pacific Beach & SUP at Santa Clara Point in Mission Bay.
June 26: Scrimmage against the U.S. Paralympic Soccer Team. Evening activity is a trip to the San Diego Padres game.
June 27: Agility and Lift at Bishops School & Ocean Kayaking in La Jolla Cove.
June 28: San Diego Lifeguard workout at Pacific Beach & Outrigger Canoe training in Mission Bay.
June 29: Outrigger Iron Championships.

Wrap it all up and you have an incredibly fun and productive camp that saw two-time Olympian Stacey Cook (Mammoth Mountain, CA) throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the San Diego Padres game and lead her team to a second place finish in teh Outrigger Iron Championships - in the novice division.

Bring on Sochi 2014!
