FALUN, Sweden (Feb. 19, 2015) - The nordic combined team wrapped up several days of training Thursday with a final few rounds on the HS100 jump and some late afternoon cross country. Newcomer Ben Berend (Steamboat Springs, CO) will get his first major event start, joining Olympic champion Billy Demong (Vermontville, NY) and World Cup veterans Bryan and Taylor Fletcher (Steamboat Springs, CO). Adam Loomis is under the weather and will sit out the first of four combined competitions to rest.

"Today was solid training for everyone and we are psyched to get going tomorrow," said Head Coach Dave Jarrett. "The venue is in great shape so there is nothing left except to do it."

Berend has the long ride in training for the USA, soaring 88.0 meters Wednesday for 14th in that round. The Fletchers and Demong have been jumping into the mid-20s, pushing it out to around 86.0 meters.

The event will be live streamed at 3:00 a.m. EST for the trial round and single jumping round and 10:00 a.m EST for cross country on both usskiteam.com and universalsports.com.
