At just 15 years old, Redmond Gerard placed fifth in his Dew Tour slopestyle debut at the start of the 2016 season. He then went on to place fifth at the prestigious US Open and hit the podium in third at the Ale Invite big air event. His successful season earned him a spot on the U.S. Snowboarding pro slopestyle team; expect great things in the near future from this Colorado shredder.

Gerard first began competing in the amateur ranks in 2011. By 2015 he was scoring podium finishes on the Revolution Tour, the final stepping stone to the elite professional level. That year he also earned fourth at the Junior World Championships and by 2016 he was on the pro circuit.

      FIRST TRACKS
Gerard began snowboarding at the age of 2. As the sixth of seven children, he quickly learned that if he didn’t keep up he’d be left behind. Living in Cleveland didn’t allow for a whole lot of snowboarding, but in the winter of 2008 the family decided on a trial move to Breckenridge. Here 7-year-old Gerard had his chance to sharpen his natural talents on a board.
