New Hampshire native and 2015 Junior World Champion Madison Barrett made her competitive start the way most east coast snowboarders do, through the Burton US Open Junior Jam. In 2011, Barrett added her name to the list of legends who have won the Junior Jam and she has been working her way up the rookie and junior ranks ever since. In 2013, Barrett started consistently earning top-ten halfpipe finishes on the U.S. Revolution Tour, and she kept that upward momentum going through the 2014 season. After two years on tour, everything clicked and Barrett took home her first U.S. Revolution Tour podium at Seven Springs Resort, PA. This result would ultimately name her to the 2015 Junior World's team where she would take home the biggest win of her career under the lights in Yabuli, China. In 2016, Barrett made four Rev Tour appearances, never finishing outside the top ten. A hard work ethic and support from the Kelly Clark Foundation is keeping this young ripper on track to be one of the next leading women's halfpipe riders. |
