At just 19 years old, Katharine Ogden has pushed boundaries and proved early in the 2015-16 season that she can give the senior field a run for their money. After a remarkable U.S. Championships performance in Houghton, MI, she joined the Junior Worlds team to represent the U.S. in Rasnov, Romania. She carried her momentum and claimed a top 10 and two top 15s. Her efforts in U.S. SuperTours and Romania landed her a debut on the World Cup circuit during the 2016 Ski Tour Canada, where she was on the cusp of World Cup points in the races in Canmore, Alberta.

Ogden graduates from Stratton Mountain School in the spring of 2016 and will be taking a gap year to figure out her future skiing career. 

FIRST TRACKS
Ogden began skiing with her dad at about age three before joining the youth ski program at age five and has been ski racing every winter since. When she was in eighth grade, she spent her winter term at Stratton Mountain School, training with the high school team and coach Sverre Caldwell. Ogden is a senior at Stratton Mountain School and will be graduating in the spring of 2016. She will take a postgraduate year to figure out her skiing career.

OFF THE SNOW
Ogden enjoys anything outdoors and especially likes trail running and hiking in the mountains in Vermont and exploring the woods in search of good swimming holes. She is also learning to mountain bike and loves alpine skiing when she gets a chance.
