Jaelin Kauf has been making her way up the ranks in mogul skiing since her first FIS competitions in 2010. She had a break out year on the World Cup tour in 2016, landing her first career podium and taking home the Rookie of the Year title. Jaelin's success continued in 2017 where she scored her first career win, a World Championships bronze medal and finished the season ranked seventh in the world.

Q: What's your earliest memory of being on snow?
It's hard to pinpoint a moment where I first remember being on snow because it's been my whole life. With two parents who were on the pro mogul tour, mogul skiing is in my blood. My older brother loved skiing moguls, and I loved to do whatever he did. When he started competing, I quickly followed in his tracks.

Q: What was the breakthrough moment when you realized you could compete at the elite level?
          A:
At the Visa Freestyle International in 2016, I had qualified 14th for finals. In the first final, I just went up and skied my run - I didn't try to push it too hard, and it just felt so easy. I ended up qualifying first for super finals, and that's when I realized I could be at the top.

Q: Tell us something quirky about yourself.
A: My Curious George monkey travels everywhere with me. His name is George Junior.
