During the 2015-16 season, Erik Bjornsen showcased early on that he is a forced to be reckoned with when it comes to classic skiing. In the 4x7.5k relay in Lillehammer, Bjornsen displayed his strong classic skiing abilities as he posted the fastest second leg relay leg of the day. A long grueling season of racing didn’t come without some tribulations for Bjornsen, with fatigue causing less than ideal results, but he persevered and remained resilient. His positive energy paid off, when he scored a 21st place finish in a World Cup 5k individual classic race in Falun and 20th in the freestyle sprint at Ski Tour Canada in Quebec before capping the season off by winning the national title in the 50k classic in Craftsbury, VT. Bjornsen has proved that he will be one to watch in the 2016-17 season. FIRST TRACKS OFF THE SNOW
