Chris Laker Websites

Ohio born and bred, Chris Laker has come a long way from the days of learning to ski in his backyard. Now residing in Park City to focus on his skiing, he’s got some of freeskiing’s most difficult tricks on lock and he has become one of the major players on the slopestyle scene.

Laker was on a roll during the 2011-12 season, taking fifth at the Visa U.S. Grand Prix at Mammoth and fourth at the Snowbasin Dew Tour before blowing his ACL on his way to his first X Games Tignes. After rehabbing his knee, Laker was set to have a great 2013 season but suffered an additional knee injury. Laker focused his attention on recovering again and took advantage of the staff and facilities at the USSA Center of Excellence to come back stronger than ever.

The 2013-2014 season marked a welcome return to snow for Laker. Happy to be healthy and on skis, he came back with a second-place finish at The North Face Park and Pipe Open in Whistler and third at the Aspen/Snowmass Open. Having showed great progress, Laker moved up to the U.S. Freeskiing pro team at the end of the season and also took advantage of some filming opportunities with companies like TGR and 4bi9. It’s safe to say Chris Laker is back on the scene—look out!
