Brian McLaughlin (Topsfield, MA; Green Mountain Valley School) and Sam Morse (Carrabassett Valley, ME; Carrabassett Valley Academy) finished 16-17 to lead the U.S. Ski Team in men's downhill Sunday at the FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships.

A 2012 graduate of Green Mountain Valley School, Brian McLaughlin turned his time with the top Vermont club into a slot on the U.S. Development Team before graduating from high school. While he kicks out of the gate in pretty much every discipline, his results tend to indicate that he's got the need for speed. During the 2013 season, McLaughlin upgraded his NorAm performance resume to include a pair of downhill top 10s as well as some impressive results in super G early in the season.
