While skiing for the University of Denver, Leever had a great season in slalom. He landed on the college podium twice in the western university races while gaining his first NorAm top 10 and a 4th place, just off the podium, at U.S. Alpine Championships. He also had the chance to go to Spain for the World University Games and Norway for the World Junior Championships.
